Painting on the Bergerac veerandah.
The studio in Firle, East Sussex
1974 Citroen HV van French fire engine converted into a mobile studio and home.
During my silent meditative watching sessions of the sea I became tuned into the richness of its song. The tingling of the tiny shingle shifting to the rhythm of the waves … the crashing cacophony of sounds of the waves smashing on breakwaters. I now want to experiment with how to abstract the images I create to express nature’s voice with its emotional symbolism. My husband and I have converted a vintage French fire engine into a mobile travelling studio and have studios in Sussex and France. Our project for the future is to explore the coasts of Britain and France to create a body of work on seascapes, cliffs, rock pools and beaches.
